SUPERIOR — Come to the Superior Public Library on Wednesday, June 15, and talk to staff from the Job Center of Wisconsin.

They’ll help you navigate their website, apply for jobs and apply for unemployment benefits. They’re here on the third Wednesday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where does the water go? Join us at the library Thursday, June 16, at 10:30 a.m. for a free program presented by the Great Lakes Aquarium. Participants become drops of water and travel through the water cycle on an amazing journey.

Learn more about the ways that we use, enjoy and protect water resources in the Great Lakes region. This is a free program for children in grades 3-5. Registration is required. Visit the online event page to reserve a spot. This program is sponsored by the Victoria Gotsky Trachtenberg Reading Fund.

Beat the heat and enjoy a free movie at the library in our cool, air-conditioned space. On June 20 at 6 p.m. join us for a free showing of “Licorice Pizza,” the Oscar-nominated movie about growing up, running around and going through the treacherous navigation of first love in the San Fernando Valley during the 1970s. This movie is rated R. And be sure to mark your calendars for our next movie, “The Batman,” starring Robert Pattinson, to be shown July 11 at 6 p.m. This movie is rated PG-13.

Outdoor storytime at Billings Park begins June 21. Join us every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Pavilion 2 for stories, crafts, and fun — rain or shine.

Join us June 23 at 6 p.m. for a free program with magician Robert Halbrook. “Aargh! Pirates!” is interactive theater with storytelling, comedy and magic — aimed at encouraging children to read and enjoy books. This program is open to all ages and no registration is necessary.

Join us at the library on June 27 at 11 a.m. and celebrate the beauty of Lake Superior by creating fish keychains and rock necklaces with local artist Leah Biezuns. All supplies will be provided and no registration is required. This craft is for teens ages 12-18.

Do you have questions about Medicare? Join us for a monthly information session with Kristy Herubin and learn the basics of Medicare, including how and when to enroll. This is an informational session intended for anyone approaching age 65 or looking to retire. Upcoming sessions will be held on June 28 at 1 p.m., and July 18 at 10:30 a.m. Sessions will last approximately one hour.

Join us at Billings Park on June 30 at 10:30 a.m. for “Bubbles: Science and Inquiry,” a free program presented by the Duluth Children’s Museum. This program is perfect for ages 4-6 and no registration is required.

A book club discussion of “The Immortalists” by Chloe Benjamin will take place June 30, as well. The book is a captivating family saga that asks the question, “If you knew the date of your death, how would you live your life?” Book club discussions will be offered at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., so pick the time that works best for you. A limited number of copies of the book are available at the library circulation desk.

The library will be closed July 2-4 in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
