The Texarkana police in Texas are still investigating the Halloween party shooting that took place at a private party in Texarkana on Saturday, October 30, 2021. They have posted a picture that they really want to inquire about Picture of problem man.
TTPD issued the following statement on their Facebook page today (November 17):
We continue to track down clues to the Halloween party shooting that led to the death of 20-year-old Javon Gooden and 9 other gunshot wounds. Now, we are trying to find this person because we believe that he may have some key information about what happened.

Police in Texarkana, Texas, have identified the victim of the shooting. He was injured at the Texarkana Halloween party at the Octavia Event Center on Texas Avenue on Saturday night. Too heavy and die. He is 20-year-old Javon Gooden in Texarkana, Texas. The police report said that the other victims who were shot that night included men and women, ranging in age from 15 to 23. Fortunately, these injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Keuntae McElroy, 21, from Texarkana, Arkansas (pictured above), turned himself in on Sunday. Detectives are currently preparing a probable cause affidavit to obtain an arrest warrant for the murder of McElroy and eight additional charges of serious assault with deadly weapons. Detectives believe that McElroy spent some time in the building before the shooting. Preliminary investigations indicate that the shooting may have been caused by some kind of interference between some people attending the party. It is estimated that at the time of the shooting, there were at least a few hundred people in the venue.
