The San Juan Island Library is offering a variety of special summer programs for students in grades K-5th and grades 6-12th. All programs are free and offered as part of the Library’s Summer Reading Program, Oceans of Possibilities. No prior registration is required to attend. Tuesday, June 28 at 1 p.m. Sand Art: Held outside on the fairground’s front lawn. Create colorful sand art in bottles and on paper!

Tuesday, July 12 at 1 p.m. Water Works: Held outside on the fairground’s front lawn. Make reusable star soakers for playing water games! Prepare to get wet!

Tuesday, July 26 at 1 p.m. Shell Fun: Held outside on the fairground’s front lawn. Make a mermaid crown using shells.

Friday, June 24 at 6:30 p.m. Movie and Crafts with a showing of “Cruella” on the Library’s big screen. Held in the library’s main salon. Cruella is rated PG-13. Popcorn and fun crafts to be provided.

Thursday, June 30 at 2 p.m. Edible Coral Reefs: Held outside on the fairground’s front lawn. Use candy to make your own edible reef.

Thursday, July 7 at 2 p.m. Water Wars: Held outside on the fairground’s front lawn. It’s water games galore! Prepare to get wet!

Thursday, July 21 at 2 p.m. Ocean in a Bottle: Held in the library meeting room. Hang out with friends while you create a mini-waterscape in glass bottles.

Friday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. Movie and Crafts with a showing of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” on the library’s big screen. Held in the library’s main salon. Spider-Man is rated PG-13. Popcorn and fun crafts to be provided.

In usual Comedy of Errors fashion, the first week of performances for the classic Shakespearean play produced by Island Stage…
