Rockport Fulton community hosts fun-filled holiday events this weekend

The holidays are here, what better way to get into the holiday spirit than to participate in some fun-filled activities with the community!

Below is a list of events offered by the Rockport Fulton Chamber of Commerce over the weekend of December 11-12.

Free flight-high school to flying school-every year from December 11th to 12th Saturday and Sunday (9:00 am to 5:00 pm) Aransas County Airport will host many activities, including the opportunity to take the college entrance examination. More information about aviation careers. Aransas County 4H Club will provide hot dogs and other delicacies, and Mike's Ocean Nuggets Seafood Truck will also be on site.

Christmas in the district on Saturday, December 11th, enjoy the festive joy in Rockport Culture and Arts District. Shop at the farmers’ market and maker’s market in the city center, and visit the Gulf Education Center to watch the Globe Science Fair at 2pm. Crafts and other activities will also be offered throughout the area.

On Saturday and Sunday from December 11th to 12th (1:00 pm-4:00 pm) in the Aransas County Historic Center, go back in time and enjoy the past holiday decorations. See a tree full of shells, a special Santa Claus display and Texas-Mexican decorations, to name a few. The historic center is located at 801 E. Cedar St. in Rockport.

Carols in the building Saturday, December 11th, 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Take photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus in the living room of the building. Then enjoy the festival carols with the Rockport Fulton Middle School choir at 6:30. Afternoon, followed by View on the first floor of the mansion.

Lighted Boat Parade Saturday, December 11 (starting from dark) Rockport Yacht Club will host their Lighted Boat Parade in Rockport Harbor. Visitors on boat cruises are encouraged to come to Rockport Yacht Club or the surrounding area for the best view.

Christmas Drive-Thru Lights Display on the beach (6pm to 9pm on weekdays and 6pm to 10pm on weekends) ARCH Jeepers, Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce and Aransas County Navigation District, as well as more than 15 local non For-profit organizations and businesses are bringing a relaxing drive-through holiday experience to the community.

Stop at the welcome station of the outdoor pavilion, a few volunteers will welcome you and provide you with a tour route. Young professionals from Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce will tell you about the trip through the QR code provided on arrival.

On Saturday, December 11 and Saturday, December 18 (1:00 pm-4:00 pm), hold a retro Christmas at Rockport Railroad Depot, play Ragtime music on various instruments, and enjoy ancient music. Check out the personal collection of very old gramophone players and learn all about the railway warehouse.

On Sunday, December 12 (Sunday at 2:00 pm), the Seaside Symphony Orchestra will perform together with the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra and Rockport-Fulton High School Choir in the Martha Luigi Auditorium.
