You’ll find enchantment under the sea with this easy project... but the best part happens when you turn the lights off!

You’ll find enchantment in a fish bowl with this papercraft project. Especially when you see what we do at the end!

Order a pizza for the family to enjoy, and get out the craft supplies. We’re going to fashion a fishy underworld out of a pizza box. Just make sure to eat the pizza first.

Draw a fish bowl outline onto a pizza box lid. Then cut out along the outline. Paint the pizza box lid to look like the fish bowl is sitting on a table surface, with a contrasting coloured background. Paint around the fish bowl cut out in a third colour to make the shape truly pop.

Open the pizza box so you can work on the interior. Paint the inside back wall (pizza box base) with paint. While the paint is still wet stick confetti to the back wall to look like watery bubbles (fish farts).

Glue pipe cleaners to the inside bottom edge of the pizza box (this will be parallel with the bottom of the fish bowl cut out). Cut out a rectangular piece of glitter cardstock, making one long edge wavy. Glue this piece to the inside bottom edge of the fish bowl cut out.

Cut out fish and seashell shapes on different coloured cardstock. Glue googly eyes onto the fish. Glue seashells to the front of this foreground sand piece. Glue lengths of string to the back of the fish. Glue the other end of the string to the inside top edge of the fish bowl cutout. Decorate the fish, seashells and overall fishbowl with glittery glow-in-the-dark glue. Now your fish bowl is complete.

At night, shine torchlight at the fish bowl for a few minutes to activate the glow-in-the-dark glue. Then turn out the lights, and be blown away by the underwater luminescent effect.
