Buffalo, New York (Associated Press)-On Thursday, Starbucks employees at a store in Buffalo, New York voted to form a union. This is the first time for this 50-year-old American coffee retailer and a labor movement The latest signs of decline arose decades later.

The National Labor Relations Commission said on Thursday that workers voted 19 to 8 for the establishment of a union in one of the three locations in Buffalo.

If the Labor Committee approves the vote, this will be the first Starbucks store in the United States to join a union.

The second store rejected the union by 12 votes to 8. Due to multiple questioning and voting, the result of the third store could not be determined.

For decades, Starbucks has been actively opposing unionization in its stores.
